  6. "What's Buzzing": Build a Bee House

    Boy Scout C.J. Hudanich will be teaching us how to construct a Bee House. We will also Bee learning about Bee life. Sign up and join us and some local Boy Scouts for a fun night Bee-fore its too late. This program has a suggested materials cost of $10.00.

  2. Teen Book Group: The Astonishing Color of After

    All teens in grades 6 and up welcome! Drop-in event. New members are always welcome! We meet biweekly throughout the summer to discuss that meeting's books and chat over snacks. This meeting we will be discussing: The Astonishing Color of After, by Emily X. R. Pan. Library copies of the book will be made available at the children's desk. Summary: Leigh is convinced that her mother turned into a bird after she committed suicide. She travels to Taiwan to meet her maternal grandparents for the first time, determined to find her mother, the bird. While there, though, Leigh will discover new depths to herself and family secrets she never knew. This is a novel about finding yourself through family history, art, grief, and love.
