Evening With the Author: Auston Habershaw and world building in Science Fiction & Fantasy
Thursday, June 30, 2016
Do you love stories that take you to new and alien places? Do you wonder how authors like George R.R. Martin, Frank Herbert, or Phillip K. Dick build the science fiction and fantasy landscapes their characters inhabit? Fantasy and science fiction author Auston Habershaw will discuss how to create new worlds from nothing, how to sustain them, and how to make them seem real. He will also give a brief reading of his new novel "No Good Deed."
Auston Habershaw is a winner of the Writers of the Future Contest and has published work in Analog and Galaxy's Edge, among others. "No Good Deed," the second book of his fantasy series "The Saga of the Redeemed," will be released via e-book on June 21st by Harper Voyager. Auston currently lives in Boston, but he grew up in Hingham, and is a graduate of BC High and Boston College.
