Intermediate Chess: Virtual Program with Nolan DeMott, ages 7+

This class is for students who are familiar with chess basics and are interested in instructional play.
In this eight-week series slightly more advanced Chess principles and strategies will be introduced. Participants will learn by solving chess puzzles or playing as a team against the instructor.

Nolan DeMott is an experienced Chess player with over 12,000 games played on chess.com, having achieved a rating of 1900. Nolan started playing Chess at age 5 and started competing in tournaments soon after. In elementary school, he led his elementary school to a Top 4 finish at the Hurvitz Cup a regional team chess tournament, hosted by The Massachusetts Chess Association. While Nolan decided early on to not pursue playing the game at a more serious level, he's always found the time to play recreationally and teach those who are looking to improve their game.
