Saturday, August 3 at 3:00 -- Multi-instrumentalist Sagit Zilberman will perform songs from around the globe. This is a free event open to all ages.
Songs of Peace from Around the World takes the audience on a journey around the world through different cultures and eras. Whether well-known or new and unfamiliar, each song evokes feelings of peace, joy and community, and expands both our conceptual and musical borders. There will be songs from Africa, Ireland, South America, and Israel, as well as some popular American songs.
Sagit Zilberman is a multi-instrumentalist jazz musician who plays a mix of special instruments while educating the audience about their origins. She demonstrates folkloric rhythms and styles that are unique to specific cultures. The concert is communicative and interactive, asks questions, and broadens musical and geographical horizons.
An international musician from Israel, Sagit was passionate about music from a young age. She graduated cum laude from Berklee College of Music and has performed in more than 15 countries, acquiring songs and instruments in every place she visits.
