This drop-in program is perfect for children 14 months to 3 years and their caregivers. Following the program, families are invited to socialize and play with library’s collection of toys.

  1. Careers in Marine Animal Training: A Presentation for Teens

    Learn all about what it's like to be a marine mammal trainer and how you can get involved in that field today!

    Kim Cummings, from the New England Aquarium, has worked as a marine mammal trainer for over 15 years! In her presentation she will discuss her background, the reasons for animal training, the methods of training, and a day in the life of a trainer.

    She will also touch on other careers associated with animal training like education, research, and conservation, and share resources to learn more about the animal care field, and ideas for how teens can get involved at the aquarium, as well as the first steps to take to become an animal trainer.
