Junior Volunteer Program
The Junior Volunteer program at the Hingham Public Library is a community service opportunity for children and youth ages 12 – 16. The Junior Volunteer program provides valuable educational experience and supports the operation of the childrens and young adult services department at the Hingham Public Library. The Junior Volunteer program gives participants the opportunity to:
- Learn about the services, organization and operation of public libraries
- Develop general office and library skills
- Contribute to the community
Additionally, during the summer, high school age youth may volunteer to assist with our summer reading program. This is a great opportunity for students to earn community service credits. Applications for the summer volunteer term are available in late May.
For more information please contact the children's department at 781-741-1405 or visit the children's department to pick up an application.
