About Reader Services: Speaking Volumes
Are you looking for a good book – one matched to your personal tastes?
- Do you enjoy finding new favorites but don’t know where to start?
- Is your list of recommended books so long it’s overwhelming?
- Having read everything by a favorite author, are you looking for other authors with the same kind of appeal?
- Is your book group looking for titles to generate good discussions?
Try “SPEAKING VOLUMES”, a free reader advisory service from professional librarians trained to match the right books with the right readers.
This is a service you can’t find at the mall!
Visit us anytime on the second floor of the library, where you can sit and talk to us about your reading preferences. We can suggest both new and old titles you might find appealing, draw up personal reading lists, show you how to find good reads on your own, and offer you a selection of our specially prepared booklists.
We also offer scheduled booktalks 2 or 3 times a year in the Whiton Room.
