Beginner Chess with Nolan DeMott | Ages 7+

Our March Chess sessions are for students who are familiar with chess basics and are interested in instructional play. Participants will learn by solving chess puzzles or playing as a team against the instructor. The March series is instructive and informative. We hope you can join us!

Nolan DeMott is an experienced Chess player with over 12,000 games played on chess.com, having achieved a rating of 1900. Nolan started playing Chess at age 5 and started competing in tournaments soon after. In elementary school, he led his elementary school to a Top 4 finish at the Hurvitz Cup a regional team chess tournament, hosted by The Massachusetts Chess Association. While Nolan decided early on to not pursue playing the game at a more serious level, he's always found the time to play recreationally and teach those who are looking to improve their game.
