Our Read to a Dog program provides a supportive environment to practice reading! Reading to trained therapy dogs helps develop literacy skills and builds confidence and self-esteem. Our canine friends are all wonderful, patient listeners who are looking forward to reading with you!

Our listening teams are scheduled for Saturday mornings from 10:30 -11:30 - with some weeks held in-person and some via Zoom. Reading sessions last 15 minutes and are for children ages 5 and up. Hingham Public Library is partnering with Hingham Pride Project to celebrate the end of Pride Month with a party! There will be crafts, snacks, and activities - and maybe even some karaoke, so bring your friends and your voice!
