    Our Read to a Dog program provides a supportive environment to practice reading! Reading to trained therapy dogs helps develop literacy skills and builds confidence and self-esteem. Our canine friends are all wonderful, patient listeners who are looking forward to reading with you!

    During the summer our listening teams are scheduled for Wednesday mornings from 10:30 -11:30 in the Children's Department. Reading sessions last 15 minutes and are for children ages 5 and up.

    To register for a session, please call the Children's Department at 781-741-1405 ext. 1403. We hope you can join us! Our listening teams are looking forward to reading with you!

    Do you like overcomplicating things? Do you like to conserve energy but end up wasting time? Are you drowning under a pile of chores? Let us help you accomplish one and make it look so cool. Come build a Rube Goldberg Machine with the STEAM UP! team and put your engineering and creative skills to the test. Best for kids 4 and up.

    Have you ever wanted to learn how to make buttons? Whether you think you may want to make campaign buttons for next year's school elections or you'd just like some cool badges to pin on your bag, now's your chance! Come learn how to use the library buttonmaker and make some fun buttons of your choosing. All participants of this program will be approved for in-library use of the buttonmaker in the future.
