    National Touring Musician Evan of Music at the Blissful comes to the Hingham Public Library for a fun-filled, interactive, movement-packed music experience for the whole family. Come join the fun as we sing, jump, shake, and laugh as Music at the Blissful plays songs off his new album "It's Me Evan!" and hits from his catalog. This is sure to be an action-packed good time for all.

  2. Open Play with Library Storytime Toys, Family Program

  3. Beginner Chess: Virtual Program with Nolan DeMott, ages 7+

    This class is for students new to chess. Participants will learn the basics of play during this eight-week series (January 4 - February 22) including how to set up the board, the rules of the game, understanding basic rule nuances, and the difference between checkmate and stalemate. Each week of the series builds on the skills learned during the previous weeks' lessons.

    This event will be held on Zoom. Registration for this event has filled.

    This program has been fully funded by the Hingham Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. We are grateful for their support!

  4. Intermediate Chess: Virtual Program with Nolan DeMott, ages 7+

    This class is for students who are familiar with chess basics and are interested in instructional play. In this eight-week series (January 4 - February 22) slightly more advanced Chess principles and strategies will be introduced. Participants will learn by solving chess puzzles or playing as a team against the instructor. Each week of the series builds on the skills learned during the previous weeks' lessons.
